Alivio is not a cheap entry level gear set, that would be Tourny. Alivio sits in the middle of the Shimano gear group and is their top set for the recreational hybrid bike category. There are some other minor incorrect statements, but I’ll let them pass. This is a good bike with a good gear set and it’s a shame Diamondback decided to discontinue it because they have nothing comparable in their lineup.
